The Hybrid Digital Sprite 2 is a scalable mid-range DVR containing recording and transmission capabilities in a single unit, ideally suited for medium-to-large CCTV installations. The Digital Sprite 2 includes Dedicated Micros unique TransCoding technology to provide advanced networking functionality. The Digital Sprite 2 can dynamically switch between resolution, record-rate & compression using MultiMode Recording.

- Up to 4CIF recording resolution with authentication capability; Up to 120 PPS total
- IP Streaming & Recording
- Archive via internal DVD-R or external storage capability via SCSI; up to 1.5 TB internal storage
- Plug and play using pre-configured recording and storage program
- Flexible control options include IR Remote, KBS3A Keyboard, or remote client
- 485 bus daisy-chain supports up to 16 DVR units
- NetVu Connected - ensures interoperability of all Dedicated Micros NetVu Connected products and third-party integration products
- MultiMode Recording - dynamically switchable resolution, record rate and compression per camera (MPEG-4 & JPEG)
- TransCoding - maximizes data transmission over available bandwidth for efficient remote viewing
- Simultaneous record, playback, image archiving and live viewing
- Web browser capable for remote viewing
- Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control using Coaxitron, and most popular protocols
- Advanced video motion detection and search options
- Continuous, scheduled, motion, and/or alarm based recording for each video input
- Audio – 2 channel bi-directional, recording and network transmission capable
- Text support for point of sale data applications
- Building Management Controls and Access Control Integration – supported via PowerScript software
